LAS VEGAS FILIPINO SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (LVFsFF)
In October 2022, we saw the launching of LVFsFF which spotlights the many talented Filipino - American filmmakers and artists from around the world with the proceeds from the event going towards the good works of FASFOS particularly the FASFOS SCHOLARSHIP FUND. This is an annual event which we plan to take place every October in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The LVFsFF is a celebration of creativity, diversity, and the power of storytelling. We aim to provide a platform for aspiring Filipino-American filmmakers to showcase their special talents and skills, while also fostering cultural exchange and understanding among a wider audience. By supporting the festival, people will be contributing to the vibrant arts scene in Las Vegas and helping us create a lasting impact on our community.
On October 28, 2023 (Sat) the LVFsFF is having its Inaugural Short Film Competition from among 25 qualified entries out of over 50 submissions since the announcement was made last year. The award categories are: Best Screenwriting, Best in Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Director, Best Short Film, and Audience Choice Award. These 25 short films can be watched or seen on the same day, October 28, 2023 at Orleans Hotel from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
